Through its subsidiary TTS Handling Systems AS in Drøbak, TTS Marine ASA’s Port and Material Handling division has landed a contract with China Offshore Industrial Corporation (COIC) in China, worth approximately NOK 57m. The delivery will take place summer 2007.
The contract with COIC is for the delivery of a big panel line. The panel line will increase COIC’s capacity for assembling and welding of steel sections.
The delivery will be installed for use at Bohai Shipyard. About a year ago TTS Handling Systems AS landed a similar contract, concerning a smaller production line to Dalian New Shipbuilding Heavy Industry (DNS). The new contract with COIC is important for TTS with respect to the ongoing increase of capacity in China.
